Spring at Oak Glen Christian Conference Center

Green fields, blooming wildflowers and ornamental plum trees signal that springtime in Oak Glen has arrived. As the weather cools and light rain restores the land’s vegetation, visitors can enjoy mild temperatures at an altitude above the smog. In this picturesque and relaxing season, prepare to hike the hillsides, tour the town’s historic farms and eat outside for an afternoon picnic. As you drink in the clear mountain air and breath out the anxieties of everyday life, you are reminded of God’s promise of resurrection and life eternal with our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Apple blossoms are another beloved marker of spring here. Oak Glen’s annual apple blossom festival in April celebrates the season for an entire weekend with carriage rides and even a treasure hunt. The celebration is packed with activities that take place throughout Oak Glen’s five mile scenic loop.

If you’re looking for a friendly place that accommodates groups of all sizes to host your next spring retreat, Oak Glen Christian Conference Center is happy to welcome you. A trusted camp since 1957, OGCC offers comfortable lodging and amenities, delicious food, and a joyful staff to serve you. In addition to participating in the activities the town has to offer and visiting local businesses, campers come together to worship God and spend personal time with Him.

What’s New at Oak Glen

The first thing you’ll notice here at Oak Glen is the brand new smiling faces of our recent employee additions. Selected for their hearts to serve the Lord and His precious children (you), they are excited to make your stay here at Oak Glen joyful in the Lord.

In addition to the new staff, we are working on a number of projects that we strongly believe will add to the experience here at Oak Glen and will make your visit a highlight of your year.

New Water Tank for Health and Efficiency

Expanded Archery Range

While meandering over the grounds, you will quickly notice brand new staircases, paint, and windows that adorn the various structures of the camp.  In addition, we’ve added a new water tank for increased efficiency and expanded our archery range to enable more would-be Robin Hoods.

Multi-Purpose Athletic Field

We are currently in the process of transforming our ball-field into a multi-purpose grass athletic field. Your recreational time will now be enhanced with various activities including Ultimate Frisbee, touch football, water balloon toss, baseball, or just a sandaled walk in the cool grass while gazing out over the valley vistas to the south, and the mountain views rising above you to the north. Favorites such as volleyball and mini-golf are still here for your enjoyment.

While we are busy with these various projects, we continue to look for additional ways to enhance your stay with us here at Oak Glen. We are continually striving to make your time here valuable, inspiring, and relaxing; a place where you can grow in your personal relationship with our precious Lord and be built up with His believers.

What a wonderful Creator God we have! We hope that you will come to visit us here at Oak Glen and retreat from your everyday life to enjoy the beautiful outdoors that God has provided for us.

Meet Our Team

Welcome to Oak Glen!  It’s nice to meet you.

 

We’d like to introduce you to our staff.  We currently have 16 members, each of whom desires to serve both our guests and the Lord Jesus.  Here you will meet staff engaged in food service, recreation, activities, facilities, human resources, housekeeping, landscaping, and safety, as well as managers, supervisors, and directors.

 

We hope that through these short bios and testimonies, you’ll see a portrait of those who are filled with faith to serve the Lord.  We also hope you’ll pray for each one.  Pray for their service to the Lord both at home and at work.  Pray that their families, service, and schoolwork would be covered in Him, and that their lives would be overflowing with joy. Pray especially that each individual they touch would see the living Christ in them.
